On thursday, we had our annual end of year dinner at Suntec Convention Centre. The food was so so, but we had quite a bit of fun! haha... We had great time taking photos. This was taken with the school's simple point-and-shoot camera, put on top of a high table, with the timer set. Not bad ya? Hahaha... Posted by Picasa

A lot of people have been asking me this question: Why do you like to take photographs?
Perhaps they do not understand why a person can be so passionate about something he/she really loves. To tell the truth, I really hate to answer this question. Most of the time, I stumble and end up giving cheeky answers to avoid further questioning, or rather interrogation. However, I have finally decided to make use of this medium to convey my thoughts about my passion and hopefully, spread my love for photography to more people around me.
How should I begin...? When did I first begin to like the camera? I'm not too sure. Maybe it happened when I was young. I had always like the idea of using the camera to make a record of people's faces. When I grew older, my love for photography kinda subsided and I was more involved in drama. That was also the time when I started to develop an ambition to become a movie director. Then, it dawned on me that perhaps my ambition was too far-fetched. I wasn't sure of the path that was leading me. No wait, why is the path leading me? Why can't I be the person creating the path for myself? Hmm... eventually, I made the decision not to take up filmography in a polytechnic and landed myself in a JC. Afterwhich, I start to realise that my camera has not left me. I found my love for photography back in me again and it stayed on until now. To what extent do I love taking photographs? For example: Recently, a post-exam activity was organised for the students. I went along with them to the Kallang basin where they had a great time learning how to row the dragon boat. Some people felt that it was a pity that I did not go down with them to play. To me, it was an opportunity to take photographs of course! I did not consider it to be a pity at all. What is important for me is to capture the moments and the varied expressions on their faces. After that, there is still another round when they see their photos being taken. Haha... I love to see their expressions when they look at the photographs. I have always liked to stand aside to observe people. The human face is full of emotions and that is why I love to take people shots. My photographs expresses the feelings of the people at that moment in time. In addition, it is also my form of expression because it was me who decides what to include in the photographs and what not. This is my love for photography.

I'm so hooked on the korean drama Palace: Princess Hours now! haha
Just saw it's two music video on youtube and I nearly melted. Such a sweet and funny show.
Must buy the dvd =)
I don't know if it is because of age, but my desire to on the PC and go online at night is becoming lesser and lesser. Therefore resulting in the diminishing post(s) I have here.
hmmm...
For the past week, I have been doing practically nothing else except marking marking.
Finally, the chores ended on Friday afternoon, with all the marks calculated and keyed in. Phew...
I actually signed up for the Canon Photomarathon yesterday. In the end, I didn't go because I felt that I was too tired. I needed the much-awaited rest. Oh well, ... I had a peaceful day at home watching my favourite DVDs.

I cannot stand the fact that MANY SEC 3s wrote "childrens" in their SS answer. I thought you learnt it in pri that children is plural?? HUH? HUH?

Oh! North Korea denonated their atomic weapon in an underground test today. my goodness!
Got to read up on it. So exciting!
Potential sources for Social Studies exam paper! Ha!

Let me tell you what happens when students don't sleep well before examination.
They make SILLY and COSTLY mistakes.
Besides the sinhalese and tamils in the Northern Ireland conflict example,
there's also the wrong citation of sources. The source is supposed to be A, but you wrote B instead. Everything else is correct except the most critical "A". Therefore, no marks!
See lar! Silly mistakes that take away your A1. Sigh...
These come from my best class some more. *shakes head*

Marking in progress... Sigh... Sian ah...

Tell me what has Tamils and Sinhalese got to do with Northern Ireland?
This person must be tooooo nervous. Haha...
Some people did not answer the question on the 'author's FEELINGS' at all!!
They didn't read the question properly.
Again, there are still some idiots who did not support their argument with EVIDENCE.
I have repeatedly told them not to make the same mistake and it still happens.

Marking papers is so boring. I need to nick pick their errors as a form of cheap amusement. Ha!

It's been a long time since my last post.
Actually, I really don't have the mood to "pen" anything down.
I can't even be bothered to scold those kids.
Not because I'm angry.
Well, I was angry when I was marking those projects, but not now.
Today, I did a very evil thing. That is to read out their CA2 marks in front of everyone else. ha!
That was damn evil of me to do that. I HAD to. My intention was to wake some pathetic souls up. I hope they did.
I watched The Banquet quite some time ago and I absolutely LOVE the music, esp the two songs. I play them on my comp everyday and they're stuck in my brain now. I'd probably buy the soundtrack. haha...
