Gary and I

This is the photo I took with Gary on Speech Day. I wanted to take with many other people since I wasn't the one using the camera. Unfortunately, I was still very busy. Actually, so are the rest. Sigh... well, at least I have 1. Hope to take photos with more students and teachers before I leave the school next Friday. Oh! Can't tell that we have an age gap of around 10 years right? Haha Posted by Picasa

Gary

Haha...Wenhui and I pestered him for a long time before he actually turned back to let us take photos of him. Posted by Picasa

Problems in life

The greatest and most important problems in life are all in a certain sense insoluble. They can never be solved, but only outgrown.

disappointment

Eng test today turned out quite well, except for a fair few. I flipped through the papers and believed that most would pass without doubt. Unfortunately, my brother and joel are probably going to be in deep trouble. Totally disappointed. I thought that by giving them the question to prepare in advance, all of them will be able to make it. I did this with good intentions. When I saw most students busily reading and even memorising their research, I was rather pleased by their effort, although I still do not approve of them memorising.
Why wasn't my brother able to do? Was the topic really that hard??? Mental block?? Distractions from other people? I was so surprised and in fact, I should say SHOCKED to see that Theerawat actually managed to complete the assignment with ease. The writing was not fantastic, but still alright. This is the first assignment that he has completed for me! I should open champagne and celebrate. The essays from my brother and joel was ... I shan't say anymore.
I hope they read this. I want them to know that I'm terribly UPSET by their poor performance. Did you really try? How much effort did you put in? Continue to tell yourself that you cannot do, then you will never be able to do anything. Is that what you really want?
Geog test was horrible. The test was tooooooooooooo easy and yet you still find it difficult. I can't believe that. I think I'll get a heart attack when I start to mark the papers.

tests tmrw!

I just got bombarded by a whole lot of msn messages. My kids are driving me crazy. Told them the test format and what to prepare, still ask me the same questions over and over again. Sigh...
Today's fieldtrip was quite fun... Took some photos which I will post when I have time.
Seems like more and more kids know my blog... getting famous...haha...
Ple who link me can let me know???? I don't teach the graduating classes, how come I hear that u link me and I DON"T KNOW??? Pls lar, tag leh. Stop lurking around...
I've not done any marking at all. I better get going.
Hope the sec 1s and 2s are busy preparing for my eng and geog test tmrw. Best of luck!

am sick ...

Sigh... terrible...
Threw up this morning and still have to struggle my way to sch AND still have to pretend I'm ok.
On top of this, I still have to endure the ridiculous things my kids do and behave in class. AUGHHHHHHHHHH
I didn't have the energy to reprimand them, anyway. Didn't bother...
upper sec geog class was SUPER BORING. Sorry lar, I really don't have enough brain cells to come up with something exciting. In the first place, it's really hard to make plantations interesting too. Hope you understand.

my exam is over

Yes! My last observation is over.........Been waiting for this day. It's amazing how I managed to pass with those little 'rascals' making so much noise. But my activity today was fun and I managed to get them engaged. Thank goodness!
Nevertheless, this is not the end of my misery. In fact, it's the start of my new career. Oh well, I just have to take it in stride.
Oh, my new hairstyle was very well received by all. Haha...I'm so flattered. Thank you for all the compliments. Now, I need to maintain my image. haha!
Btw, it is not my wish to portray anyone in a negative light. The photos posted here are carefully chosen. If you insist that I take it down, tell me and I will. No problems.
Sigh... back to lesson planning for tomorrow.

exhaustion is the word of the day

SIGH...............
There goes my weekend. Just like that. What did I do?
ALOT OF WORK.
I can say I've accomplished. I can also say I've not. My social life is almost zero. *Cries...*
The present I bought for Meiyan 1 month ago is still sitting on the table. It's going to be an extremely late birthday present. I've not met up with my fellow 'cher' friends for ages. I've also not met up with my honours classmates for ages too. I cancelled dinner with mic today because I was too busy preparing for my geog class tomorrow.
AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I can't believe I actually spent so much effort making models of landforms for my sec 1 geog class. I hope they are impressed. I hope they will appreciate my hard work to make the geography lesson interesting. I hope that the eruption of the volcanoes will work tomorrow.
I hope my misery will end soon.
SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh

Gary

Gary is one of the most charismatic student leader I've ever met. And he has a cute smile too. Unfortunately, I've yet to capture him in a better light. Like the rest of the NCC boys, he's also one that's hard to catch through the lens. I will preservere to get a better pic of him before I leave. Posted by Picasa

Sloppy me

I've always wondered when I will meet a student in bishan while I was sloppily dressed. Finally it happened today. haha.. Besides the fact that I was in a big white T-shirt, shorts and slippers (luckily, I wore pretty slippers), I was also carrying a heavy bag of plasticine and a huge popular bag of plastic boards. Oh my, so unglam...! Nevertheless, it was nice of him to walk up and said 'hi'. So friendly. I onced met a girl at orchard who totally ignored me. Maybe she really didn't see me. I always invisible to most people. Sigh...
By the way, I think the KTV thing is off. I forgot that they have band practice. So we will stick to our original plan.

Gathering

Ok, there are many problems with the BBQ regarding the timing and location. Shujun and I also need to worry about the price.
I just found another location, KBox party room!!! Friday afternoon from 2-7pm
Then we don't have to worry about our kids going back late in the night.
and there is air-con!!
So what do you guys think about this suggestion?
Expenses will be paid for by us lar.

269 Sports Fiesta photographs

Hmm...looks like I have visitors who are not from my class. It's ok, you're welcome but do show me your face when we meet in school.
I've finally gone through and edited all the photos taken at the Sports Fiesta. Hurray!
269 photos in all. Jiawang has 100 over I think.
I will put up all the photos, including the ones taken during the camp, intl friendship day etc, in my projects folder on Monday so that all students can have access to it. I can't announce this over the PA system, I think. Abit thick skin too. ha! Just pass the message on to your friends if you spot their faces. Please refrain from using the pictures of people you hate as the base of your dart board. Hahaha! just kidding...

I'm leaving soon

Sigh... I've spent 7 weeks in CBSS thus far. Time flies and I'm be leaving in 3 weeks time (after the first week of May). Kaile complained that nobody will give us a good farewell because everyone will be busy with their examinations. Haha!
Amanda asked if I told the seniors. No, I haven't my dear. Do you expect me to speak over the PA system and announced to the whole school? Haha... I'm not that thick skin, you know. And just in case, some of them will jump for joy upon hearing the news, I better save myself from this embarrassment.
I told my 'beloved' class yesterday that Shujun and I intend to give them a treat before we go. The choice of between treating them ice cream at swensens or bbq. bbq seems a better idea. However, it's difficult to find a place suitable for all. Theerawat suggested his house, which is at East Coast. That's really too far..... Most of my kids live in AMK area, sigh... I forgot that I'm going out with secondary kids and not my friends. I shouldn't expect anyone to be able to stay late and I'm responsible for their safety too. Sigh.. What to do?? Does anyone have a better suggestion? a better venue? I don't know. The girls aren't very keen about it. I'm not surprised though. Some of them also need to go to church on saturday night. By the time it ends and they make their way to East Coast, we may be packing up soon. Aiyoh... so how??????
oh, I spent almost the entire day at the hair salon today! I had a new hair cut, did rebonding and changed my hair parting too. Yippee!!
Now, I have to go back to editing the sports fiesta photos and marking papers. Tomorrow will be back to lesson plans..eek!! =(
Sup is coming down next monday for my geog class. I hope those 'rascals' behave...
