One horrible day ended. waiting for another horrible day to begin.

Sunday, August 27, 2006

The past week can be sumed up in one word: TIRED.
Especially Saturday. It was living hell in the office. I can't believe I actually stayed there from 8.30am till almost 6pm. Ian said I look like Zombie.. Ya...I didn't deny that.
Sigh... ...
Got an arrow on Friday to come up with a performance for T day. Said it's a tradition. Sigh... I have no idea what to do. Sigh....................
I'm just so packed.
Luckily today I managed to squeeze in time for a shopping spree. Bought many things. I can be a crazy shopper at times. Hahaha... Retail therapy never fails.
Tmrw is dooms day.

I just received my earliest teachers' day present from Loren. It's a simple post on his blog, with well wishes and my photo with the class. Love it. I'm so touched that you remember me even though I've left CBSS. *arigatou*
You know, one of my regrets is that I didn't manage to take a photo with you when I left.
=) You've made my day. muak!

ok boys and girls, although you are not being marked down in your geog and ss papers for english errors, it doesn't mean that you can disregard it totally. Marking papers is always a blood-puking process. haha! Not that mine is perfect, but yours is .... sigh... *shakes head*
Somebody tell me: What are artificial vegetables? What is land scare? How can I award any marks for that?? My goodness.

Saturday, August 19, 2006

omg omg... What have I done today?
Supposed to do lots of marking in the office but had a pig out session at casuarina road prata place with mic instead.
Then instead of heading back to office, I went J8 for junk shopping. Hahaha... just wandering aimlessly. In the end, I bought myself a cute Harry voodoo doll, junk food and Female mag.
I've just finished watching Love Actually (again!) for the umpteen times... heh
Luckily, I was sane enough to force myself to finish up marking one set of test papers. *evil grin*
I still have 6 sets of papers to go and 1 set of projects!
alamak.... how? how to finish by Monday?

Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Finally... I can relax on a weekday.
I'll be on full-day course tomorrow! Yippee... no school. Haha... no stress of hurrying to finish up marking. Marking?! what marking?! In a current state of PROCRASTINATION.
That's why I can go on msn and talk to my "kids".
BUT if u think u have nothing to do during my lesson tmrw, then u are wrong...*evil grin*

Sigh, I miss those days when I can go down to meet and chit chat with my students after school.
Now, besides the usual markings and lesson preparation, I still have to do other duties like being the time keeper of oral exams. Wahhhh.... don't even have time for proper lunch, where got time to chit chat with students?? By the time I finish at almost 5pm, most of them are long gone. Shitty.

Now, which vcd should I watch...?
Still procrastinating.

Kaile marking papers. taken from another angle.  Posted by Picasa

Candid shot of Kaile and Ashley marking papers on the bridge. Haha...  Posted by Picasa

Saturday, August 12, 2006

Tonight's the last night of the Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006.
Jiawang went to 'chope' a spot on the bridge at 3pm this afternoon. I only arrived at 5pm together with Kaile. Ashley came and joined us slightly later. As usual, there was already a grand display of tripods along the bridge.

Since it's a Saturday and also the final session of the fireworks, today was SUPER CROWDED!!! 'Buay Tarhan' ah....!!! Met some familiar faces on the bridge too. Jean bypassed our spot and caught Kaile and I marking papers on the bridge while waiting. We are very hardworking leh. Can't believe I actually finished marking a stack of 308 papers on the bridge! Haha... Then, we saw Wang Yu and 2 other CBSS girls too.

By 7 plus, the bridge was already jam packed. I was stupid enough to leave my precious spot to go to the washroom at Fullerton hotel. Darn... why did I choose to go toilet at that time?? I came back at the edge of the bridge at 8.05pm. Then began the arduous journey of going back to my spot again.

OMG... it was HORRIBLE. Everyone was trying to squeeze in onto the bridge. And alot of people refused to move forward. Actually, my spot was quite close to One Fullerton. I actually took a whole bloody 45 minutes to get back from the edge of the bridge to my spot. walau... It's packed like sardines!

On some occassions, I had to tip-toe! A woman was carry a child infront of me and we were like so freaking close to each other. Almost staring into each others' eyes. Since it's packed with people of all shapes, sizes, nationality, sexes whatsoever, it was also freaking HOT and SUFFOCATING.

I nearly gave up along the way. I climbed up to the bench by the side and tried to find a way through the shrub. Unfortunately, I got stucked. Sigh... I tried calling Jiawang, Ashley and Kaile. My goodness, there's no signal!!!! @#@%&!%# Luckily, my sms got through to Jiawang. Told him to help me set up my tripod and perhaps get Kaile or Ashley to help me take some shots.

As I was feeling rather depressed, Kaile came to the rescue. haha... actually, there were still spaces further up the bridge. The bottleneck is just a small section near the edge of the bridge where I was standing and no one was moving. We managed to squeeze our way passed the bottleneck and eventually got back. The whole bloody journey took 45 minutes. AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Today's fireworks by team France was super wide, spanning across the entire area. However, the colours were not as nice as the other teams. The main colours were green and golden, with a little bit of red. Photos are still in the camera. Gonna load it up soon.
On our way back, we saw Kelly! hahaha... small world, small place yah?

And now, my msn keeps hanging. Augh.... why??????
Tired...

Hmm... it's been a long time since my last post. I was really freaking busy.
Gosh... all the papers waiting for me to mark...they are piling!
What the hell... it's a MUST to take fireworks photos.
heck care the markings for a while. hahaha...
Tmrw still need to go for the new geog textbook launch,
then must go back office to do more markings, then go down to fullerton to chope place.
Met Jiawang today. He said he will help me chope place at 3pm tmrw. OMG, this guy is crazier than me. Haha...
I'm more satisfied with the photos taken today.
Yippee!
Anyone wants to join me at fullerton? hehe

Gayathri: you better hand up to me on monday MORNING!!!! or else ....
The dateline is next monday! We have to check and submit all the answers and a report by Monday!!!!! Are you trying to kill me and Mr Goh with additional last minute work??
And one other group didn't hand up as well...! if you are reading this, you better do something about it!
Sigh...

Once again, I'm back in school.
Ex-students of chong boon: I didn't go to your event because I really have work to do.
Nowadays, I like to come back to office on Saturday morning to do my work and planning for the week ahead. This is the only time when I can work in peace.
Oh, I just realised that some new kids have linked me on their blog, without telling me.
Hmm... not that I mind, but I'd appreciate if you can tag my board to tell me instead of lurking around in secret. hahaha...
ok, back to work.

Wednesday, August 02, 2006

I just discovered that I lost an important accessory of my camera tripod. Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
wana cry... Maybe I dropped it at the National Stadium last Saturday.
the worst thing is I only realised it TODAY.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This saturday is fireworks festival. How am I going to take fireworks photos without a tripod??!!!
I can just kill myself.
Sigh.... time to buy a new one!

Regarding the walk this saturday, are you sure they are expecting me?
My beloved class never even sms to ask me to go. Sigh...
I'll be very "extra" if I turn up.
And I'm going Marina at night to take photos of the Fireworks Festival this saturday.
